मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने आन्दोलनकारी शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने शहीद स्थल कचहरी में उत्तराखण्ड राज्य आन्दोलनकारी शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड राज्य आन्दोलनकारियों के संघर्ष के परिणामस्वरूप ही हमें नया राज्य मिला। शहीद राज्य आन्दोलनकारियों के सपने के अनुरूप राज्य के विकास के लिए राज्य सरकार प्रयासरत है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि 02 अक्टूबर 1994 को उत्तराखण्ड के अलग राज्य की प्राप्ति के लिए आन्दोलन कर रहे हमारे नौजवान साथियों और माताओं-बहनों के साथ मुजफ्फरनगर के रामपुर तिराहा में क्रूरता पूर्वक बर्ताव किया गया।
अनेक आन्दोलनकारियों की इसमें शहादत हुई। उनके सघंर्षों और शहादत के कारण ही हमें नया राज्य मिला। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार राज्य आन्दोलनकारियों के कल्याण के लिए वचनबद्ध है। इस अवसर पर मेयर सुनील उनियाल गामा, विधायक खजानदास, जिलाधिकारी देहरादून श्रीमती सोनिका उपस्थित थे।
